Brilliant. Just Brilliant.

From the Washington Post:

Officials at Dulles International and Baltimore-Washington International airports said they are considering the replacement of federal airport screeners at security checkpoints with workers employed by private contractors.

The Transportation Security Administration this week invited airports to apply to leave the federal security screener system and return to private screeners. The government took over airport screening after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks and is planning a transition for approved airports by spring or summer 2005

They’ve got to be kidding. One of the few things the administration did after 9/11 that almost everyone thinks was an improvement, and they’re giving airports the option to go back to using rental-droids who may not even speak English? Oh, and the rehired-for-less-pay former TSA employees that will be cut at those airports? Excuse me, who was accusing who of having a pre-9/11 mindset during the campaign?

We’re destroying Fallujah to save it, stuff like this is happening, and yet the news is covering some story about a commercial with Nicolette Sheridan during Monday Night Football? Sometimes I wonder why I’m still talking.
