Sources in Hollywood are reporting tonight that top executives at FOX are happy about the prospects of a new series building on the ratings success of their show ‘Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?’

Focus group results have been suggesting that many viewers found the questions on that series embarrassing, since, like many of the contestants, they couldn’t get the right answers either. “We’ve been looking for a way to make the questions easier, but ‘Are you smarter than a 2nd Grader’ just doesn’t have the right ring, if you know what I mean,” said one insider at the network.

Inspiration struck following a recent series of interviews aired on rival network CBS.

The new series, “Are You Smarter Than The Governor of Alaska?”, promises to build on the success of ’5th Grader’, while bringing in a whole new demographic. This early segment from a pilot episode was leaked to the web.
