Beckstock

by Paul on August 29, 2010

I came upon a child of Fox,
He was walking along the road.
And I I asked him “Where are you  going?”,
and this he told me…
I’m going on down the Reflecting Pool,
I’m going to join in with all Glenn Beck’s fans,
I’m going to go and make a stand
To restore my country.

We are white folk.
We are entitled.
And we’ve got to get those folks
out of our garden.

Then can I walk beside you?
‘Cause I read something on a blog
And I feel like being a cog
in some astroturfin’.
Well maybe it’s just way too much Fox,
Or maybe this was the Koch’s plan,
But I am an angry white man,
And I don’t like learning.

We are white folk.
We are entitled.
And we’ve got to get those folks
out of our garden.

By the time we got to Beckstock,
We were eighty thousand strong,
and everywhere was the sound
of white resentment.
And I dreamed I saw a Mama Grizzly
Throwing word salad at the sky
And Glenn Beck began to cry,
What a presentment!

We are white folk, we are entitled,
And we’ve got to get them folks
back out of the garden.
